Decision, done! Check.

Once again I was standing on a crossroad, figuratively speaking, and needed to choose between couple of possible paths. I’m not gonna tell you what they were (naturally) but with a little help from my friends Jennifer and Lilly my decision was becoming clearer and after a visit to a travel agency in Nuremberg the decision was quite easy after all. Just as a hint to all fellow travelers. Sometimes the flights are cheaper when you use a travel agency =) I still do like skyscanner.com <—Can I get some money for this advert? Not only was I going to THE country I have always wanted to visit but I was flying trough one of my top 3 countries. What made the deal even sweeter was my 9 day layover over there!
Frankfurt's skyline
I just like statues I guess...
A bridge. A famous bridge.
Is this the coolest toilet paper holder ever?
YES IT IS!
For my flight out of cold Europe I needed to go to Frankfurt. I don't know why but this was the first time that I visited the city and I have to say that it was way nicer than I thought. For some reason people mostly say bad things about Frankfurt but I found it to be a exciting city full of contrasts. Skyscrapers next to medieval buildings, even though rebuilt after the WWII.  Bank hq's next brothels where bankers go for a quick "lunch". Police working with Hell's Angels etc. And I think that the place was even somewhat beautiful.

Unluckily I didn't manage to meet any of my friends while in Frankfurt. My Finnish buddy was in Berlin and one German guy was interfered with some work related stuff. Work? I know I have heard that word somewhere... Still managed to have some nice time strolling around the city.

By the way, don't go to Frankfurt during the worlds biggest book fare if you wanna save some money. Prices in hostels are doubled for that weekend.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I saw one of the most absurd sights of my journey so far in my hostel in Frankfurt. There was an older guy in the same dorm with me and by older I mean about 60-70 years. I think he was working at the book fare but it doesn't really matter. The morning I was leaving for the airport I went to the toilet to brush my teeth and that's when I saw this butt naked guy in front of the sink. He was using hand towels to dry his ass and genitalia. I think he had just had a "shower" in the toilet with the water from the sink. So me and and this other young lad were there waiting for him to dry himself so that we could brush our teeth. Maybe he didn't now that the showers were just next door. That sight is still sometimes there when I close my eyes. Huuuurrrrrrrhhhh
There's nothing much to add to his picture.

The old opera house. Lalalalaaaaa
There's something to think about in this one.
