Vietnam update.

My dear readers. It's been a while once again since I updated this blog so it's time to catch up what I've been up to. Sorry that it took this long.

After my trip in South Vietnam I decided to head back to Da Lat to be reunited with my motorbike and joyful was the prodigal son's comeback to Wolfpack. It was cool to meet my Vietnamese "family again". There was also a new arrival in the hostel, Chloe, from now on aka Cripple/Crippie. She had been in a motorbike accident and was recovering at Wolfpack. So I kept company to her and tried to cheer her up during the darkest hours.
Me and Crippie
and this is the Wolfpack band. Kha, me and Crippie
Stayed for some time but decided to go back on the road to do the two main places in Vietnam still undone, Mui Ne and Nha Trang. Here's some pictures from the road and of course not everything went smoothly. The flattest tire of all flat tires and 3km of pushing the bike in really hot conditions back to the nearest village. Boy did I enjoy the ice cold Coke at the garage.
I can't remember how many breakdowns I've had so far
but still I wouldn't change the experience.
"Monkey see, monkey do"
Mui Ne
By far the best happy hour I've ever seen!
Sand dunes, dude!
If you just got wheels you can find quite nice and peaceful
beaches in Vietnam. IT WAS ALL MINE!
A few fishing vessels in Muine
I promised to Crippie that I would come back to keep her some company so after doing those two places and some smaller places on the way I headed back to Da Lat and made my second return to Wolfpack hostel and have stayed here since. One of the cool things that have happened me since the last post was the Vietnamese wedding that I attended with the Chau (hostel owners wife) Chloe and one other guy. It was mayhem.
The happy couple.
Oh yeah. They do like westerners :)
This is how the place where that party was looked after the
wedding. It was worse than any festival in Europe.
And yes, there's the drunken "uncle" giving his best dance
moves. Believe me when I say that Chloe was popular
at the wedding :) There was almost a fight over her.
"Look at me! I'm cooking Vietnamese food!"
aka deep frying sweet potato...not the most difficult task in
the world of cooking.
I'm happy to announce that my flow has told me what to do in the near future but I shall not tell it to you yet. There's always the change that something goes sour and the "plans" don't actualise but I do have a rough plan. All I can say is that I'm still gonna be on the road for some time and to be honest its soon gonna be my first anniversary on the road. When I left Finland I said to my friends that it might be two months, it might be two years but it seems that it is gonna be at least one year. Fingers crossed!

ps: After five months in Vietnam I finally agreed to go to a Karaoke place. It's a bit different here than back in Finland for example. You rent your own room with a group and have fun, or at least try. All I can say is that I still don't enjoy Karaoke.
"No sir, don't like it!"  But it seems that the girl next to me
was having fun... Im not gonna tell you where my
left hand is at this picture ;)
These two Aussies had a serious bromance going on! Look at
the sparkles flying around.
