Food journalism from HK

You already might have red about my chopstick episode but here’s a picture of the dish I ate. Thank you bowl of stuff. Without you I would still be eating like the barbarians with a spoon/fork/knife.
I really enjoyed that brownish egg with the seaweed.
Talking about cravings. We all and I do mean all crave something from time to time and a decent burger is one of the most common ones I think or is it just me? Well I didn’t particularly have a craving for a burger when me and an Aussie couple from the hostel met this quite hefty guy on a street. I don’t remember how we got to the point but in the end we knew what we wanted and where. I just kept repeating aloud “duck fat fries, dudes, duck fat fries”.
If you're in HK and you want a burger go to this hidden gem. It’s small, it’s popular, it’s expensive but damn that it was good. They only have 3 things on their menu. Burger, Fries and a dessert but if you have done your homework you know that they do have a hidden menu also and thats when things get crazy. I over did it lads, Double happiness-burger almost beat me but just almost.
Me and an Australian couple just waiting to get our hands
into those burgers and fries.
My Double Happiness-burger with duck fat fries. My good
that was good.
The basic burger on the menu.

Let’s make one thing clear first. I like dogs, I really do but I'm not that much into cats. So there is the difference why I really want to taste dog meat. I’ve heard so many times now that it is delicious so when I heard that there is a restaurant in HK that sell dog meat I instantly  decided to go there and as soon as couple of other guys from the same hostel heard that we even had a whatsapp-group called dog meat. Unfortunately when I was asking the directions to that place I was told that there’s no god meat in HK since it’s illegal. I was told that the meat is beef. Byhyyy. I just have to go to Vietnam or Korea to get my dog meat.

I even tried to cook something in HK but the hostels kitchen was occupied by this creep from England. Damn that guy and his mackerel dish! As you can see from this picture the kitchenette was not the biggest one so I decided to wait my turn. But I'm still smiling am I not? All I ended up cooking in HK was a traditional Asian delicacy, fried rice with egg and some scrambled eggs. I even used the last days rice since I heard that it is the proper way to do rice with egg.
Smile, its candid camera and we totally caught
you "cooking"
We all know that good food consists of good and fresh ingredients. Well this fish is almost as fresh as it can get. Sorry about the floppy ending but I'm too lazy to learn how to edit movies. You will still get the idea from this. If you're observant enough you should be able to see the hearts still pumping.

I have said it many times and I say it once again. I just love bbq and grilling. A perfect way to spend my last night in HK was to have a Korean BBQ. "All-you-can-eat buffet" where you grill everything by yourself. Amazing!  Here's some pictures. The only thing that left me puzzled was the lack of food coma. I really don't know how come I didn't over do it. I guess I have some backbone.
First round on ready to be grilled.
*dreeeeewl* Mmmmmm, food.
This is only a part of the variety of ingredients they got at the
Korean BBQ. Pork in so many ways and beef, chicken,
mushrooms, seafood, squid, shrimps etc.
